Mobility test guide: how to assess your movement
The Mobility Age assessment uses four standardised tests you can do at home with your phone:
- Deep Squat (side view) — squat as low as you comfortably can with heels flat. Shows hip flexion, knee flexion and torso angle.
- Forward Fold (side view) — hinge forward with straight legs and reach toward the floor. Measures fingertip-to-floor distance.
- Overhead Reach (front view) — raise both arms straight overhead. Measures shoulder flexion.
- Weight-Bearing Lunge (side view) — lunge your knee forward over your toes, heel flat. Measures ankle dorsiflexion.
